F-1 Address Updates

F-1 status students are required (by law) to report both:

• a U.S. address where they are living during school

and

• a foreign (home country) address.

ISS collects this information from My UW and forwards it to the government on your behalf.

New Student Check In Requires Address

When you first arrive in the U.S. you must update your local address in MyUW so ISS can process your “new student check in” in the government’s SEVIS system.

Address Deadline – 10 Days!

U.S. law requires you update your addresses within 10 days of moving in, or making any change. Sooner is better so we can check you in!
