Introduction to F-1 Visa Regulations

After you enter the United States using your I-20, you will be in F-1 “status.” This means that you are subject to the benefits and restrictions of the F-1 category, which is different from other categories (such as tourist or employment categories). It will be your responsibility to understand and comply with the terms of your status. ISS will provide you with resources and assistance.
