Registration Information
As a new student, you will have several holds on your registration:
- ISS hold: this hold will be removed within two business days after completion of this online information session.
- Hall Health: this hold will be removed after you submit the Measles Immunity Verification Form. For more information, visit the Office of the University Registrar’s registration policies and procedures page.
- Advising and Orientation A&O program (Undergraduate first-year and transfer students only; exchange students and graduate students do not complete an A&O program): this hold will be removed after you complete your scheduled A&O session. The A&O programs are required by First Year Programs; they provide an opportunity for freshmen and transfer students to learn about the UW academic and registration requirements. Freshmen can choose between two A&O options, an on-campus option and a hybrid online/on-campus option. Transfer students must attend the Transfer A&O program.
- For information about how to register for your A&O program, visit the First Year Programs website.
- You will register for classes at the end of your A&O program.
- Be sure to complete this ISS Online Information Session several days before you plan to register for your A&O program.
