I-20 Travel Signature
Travel Signature
Page 2 of your I-20 has four blank lines for travel signatures.
First U.S. Entry
For your initial entry to the U.S., a travel signature is not needed.
Future Entries
After your initial entry, you must obtain a travel signature from ISS before more trips. The signature verifies to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official that you are maintaining your F-1 student status and that you are eligible to apply for reentry to the U.S.
How long does a signature last?
During your studies, a travel signature is valid for multiple entries. You can use it for one year from its issue date.
