WordPress Dashboard Tour

The WordPress dashboard is where you can access all of your site’s content and make changes to your site. Below, we’ll explore some of the elements of your dashboard. We’ll go over each of these elements later on in this course.

 1. Viewing Your Site

You can view the front-end of the site anytime by selecting the home button.

 2. Posts

You can choose to review current posts, create a new post, create tags and categories.

 3. Media

Adding media to your site can increase understanding and  the visual appeal of your site. You can add images, videos, audio files to your site, and you can review all of the media currently on your site by reviewing the media library.

 4. Pages

You can choose to review current pages and create new pages.

 5. Newsletter

MailPoet is a newsletter plugin in WordPress that you can use to distribute content to your subscribers.

The WordPress dashboard is where you can access and edit your entire site. You can sign in by adding /wp-admin/ to the end of your web address.
