Schedule an Appointment

Prior to Scheduling

Before scheduling an appointment, please thoroughly review the information provided on the ELPR page. Information about the ways in which a student can satisfy the ELP requirement is provided there. Please Note: Completion of English courses at another institution will not satisfy the UW’s ELP requirement.

Arriving to the Appointment

The waiting area is on the 2nd floor of Schmitz Hall. There is no need to check in at the kiosk. Student’s name will be called at the scheduled appointment time.

Request a Delay

To request a one-quarter delay of the ELP requirement, it is recommended students contact the ELPR Office via email at rather than making an appointment. Requests to delay may require confirmation or documentation from an adviser, which would be done by email.

Drop-in Advising

Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Check in at the kiosk on the 2nd floor of Schmitz Hall. Drop-in appointments last up to ten minutes, and are intended for quick residency or English Language Proficiency Requirements (ELPR) questions and citizenship status updates only.
