Loan Deferment

Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Students may submit any loan deferment paperwork by e-mail, fax, postal mail, or hand delivery to the Office of the University Registrar on the 2nd Floor of Schmitz Hall. All paperwork should clearly indicate a UW student number, student name, and mailing address to mail the completed form(s). Paperwork may only be mailed.

Medical Residents

Medical residents are eligible to receive a deferment for not more than 2 years effective January 1, 1990. Deferment forms and other loan paperwork requiring certification should be sent to the Graduate Medical Education.

Dental Residents

Dental residents are eligible to receive a deferment for not more than 2 years effective January 1, 1990. Dental resident deferment forms should be sent or hand delivered to the School of Dentistry.
