UW S/NS Deadline Friday, June 10, 2022 at 5pm

This message was sent to all students across the University of Washington.

Dear students,

We wish you the best with your final exams and projects completed during finals week for spring 2022.

Just a reminder that Spring 2022 is not an Extraordinary Circumstances Quarter and that you have until Friday, June 10, 2022, at 5 p.m. PT to make changes to your S/NS and Numeric grading options for your Spring 2022 courses. Note that courses graded as S for Satisfactory for Spring 2022 will not count toward specific graduation and degree requirements for undergraduate students. They will only count as general electives toward the 180-credit minimum required for a bachelor’s degree. Follow the registration change processes using MyUW to make changes to your Spring 2022 grading options, and submit these by the deadline this Friday.

Read about Grading Option changes.

You may continue to make changes for grading options for Extraordinary Circumstances Quarters, which are Spring 2020, Autumn 2020, Winter 2021, Spring 2021, Summer 2021 and Winter 2022 until your degree is posted.

Review the Extraordinary Circumstances Quarter webpage for more information on S/NS grading in regular and extraordinary circumstances quarters.

Remember that a $20 late registration change fee is charged for all late changes to or from the S/NS grading option.

If you have questions about whether to switch to S/NS from numeric grading or vice versa, please consult with your academic adviser.

Sincerely,

Helen B. Garrett, Ed.D.
University Registrar and Chief Officer of Enrollment Information Services
