Greetings,
Spring 2026 grades are due in GradePage at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Grade changes can now be resubmitted in GradePage until online grade submission closes. Once the deadline has passed, grades cannot be submitted or changed in GradePage.
Late or missing grades can have serious consequences for students, including delays to academic progress, financial aid issues, graduation delays, and risks to international student visa status. The information below is intended to help you submit timely and accurate grades.
Prepare for Grading
| Grading Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Duo 2FA | GradePage requires UW NetID login with Duo. Please verify your Duo access before grading. |
| GradePage Access & Section Setup | When grading opens, log in to GradePage to confirm you have access to the correct course sections, the appropriate grading options (numeric, CR/NC, etc.) are available, and section data comes from the Time Schedule. If anything is incorrect, contact your time schedule coordinator. You can also verify sections on your Teaching page in MyUW. |
| GradePage Help | Review current guidance for assigning and submitting grades. |
| Grading Delegates | For exceptional circumstances, review the grading delegates information to assign or confirm delegate access. |
| Canvas Gradebook | When importing grades from Canvas, ensure all assignments to be included in the final grade have posted (visible) grades. |
Submit Grades in GradePage
| Grading Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Use GradePage | GradePage is the UW’s official grade submission tool. Grades may be entered manually or imported from Canvas or a CSV file. |
| Preferred Names | Students’ preferred names appear in GradePage. Always verify the UW student number, especially when entering or changing grades manually. |
| Import Grades Into GradePage | Instructors can import grades from the Canvas gradebook or by uploading a .csv file using the Import Options button on the grade entry screen for each section. GradePage includes a customizable conversion calculator. The calculator does not round; use the lowest acceptable percentage for each grade point). |
| Submit Your Grades | Be sure to follow the submission process through the final Submit button. A successful submission generates a timestamp in GradePage and a confirmation email to instructors of record. Students will see grades in MyUW with a notice that grades are not final until posted to transcripts after the deadline. |
| NEW – Grading Errors (Spring 2026) | Instructors may edit and resubmit grades directly in GradePage until the submission window closes. After the deadline, grade changes must be submitted using the Change of Grade Request form. |
Incomplete and Temporary Grades

| (I) Incomplete |
|
| (X) Missing Grade Annotation |
|
| (N) In Progress | For Thesis, Research, 600+ courses where coursework is still in progress and a final grade will be assigned later, record an “N”. |
After the Deadline
Grade Changes and Late Grades
After 5 p.m. on June 16, all grade changes and late grades must be submitted using the Change of Grade Request form. These are entered manually by campus registration teams and may take up to three weeks during peak periods.
Late grades may affect financial aid or graduation eligibility. Please notify students of any delays and submit grades on time whenever possible.

GradePage provides a downloadable, pre-filled template to streamline Change of Grade requests and ensure accurate UW student IDs.
