ACCESS Student Enrollment – Winter 2025
Dear ACCESS Program participant,
We are pleased that you have enrolled in classes at the University of Washington through our ACCESS Program!
As we prepare to assist you with your enrollment needs for Winter 2025, should you continue taking courses through the ACCESS Program, we want to provide you with registration resources and tips for success.
ACCESS Registration
The ACCESS Registration Request form is available to first-time and returning ACCESS students. You will need to provide your student data, course selections, and entry codes, if necessary, in the form, after which, you will receive an email confirmation of your submission. Registration requests will be processed beginning on the third day of winter quarter.
The registration request form opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024 and closes at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025.

ACCESS Program Tips for Success
- Registration for ACCESS students officially begins on the third day of winter quarter – January 8, 2025. If you submit an ACCESS registration request form by the end of office hours on Monday, January 6, 2025, your registration will be processed beginning on January 8, 2025 at 8 a.m.
- Please keep in mind that over 800 ACCESS registration requests are submitted each quarter. We have a team of less than six (6) Registration Specialists to manually review and process these registrations. The team works Monday through Friday and will make every effort to process your request as quickly as possible.
- You will need to email the academic unit or instructors offering Winter 2025 classes for entry codes and to inquire about classes.
- The last day to submit an ACCESS registration request form or required entry codes is by 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, since the last day we can register you in ACCESS classes is Friday, January 24, 2025.
- If you would like to sit in on classes before the third day of the quarter or before we have processed your registration, you’ll need to email the instructor and ask for permission to do so. They may give you access to their Canvas course, but this is not the same as being registered, so be sure to verify that your registration has been processed in MyUW.
Set Up and Opt In to 2FA Before Registration
The UW requires two-factor authentication (2FA) for your UWNetID account to protect both your and the University’s information. With 2FA, you sign in first with your UWNetID and password, then use a 2FA device (such as your smartphone) to confirm your identity. If you have not set 2FA up before registration for the quarter begins, you will not be able to register or access UW online systems.
Don’t wait — “lock down your login” today with the Duo Mobile app for 2FA.
Deter cybercriminals by using two-factor authentication (2FA) with your UWNetID to protect your work and UW data.
First, you’ll need Duo (if you don’t have it already). Typically, this means installing Duo Mobile on your phone or tablet. Next, you’ll Opt in to use 2FA on the web for your UWNetID, at your own convenient time. Once you opt in, you cannot opt out; always keep your device with you.
This use of 2FA will apply to UW websites and desktop/mobile apps, including the registration system, MyUW, Canvas, UW Zoom and many other resources that require UWNetID sign-in.

- Use the “remember me” option to reduce how often you have to sign in with Duo/2FA. It’s good for personal devices or other non-shared computers you regularly use. And for signing in to UW Office 365, the Microsoft sign-in offers “Keep me signed in.”
