Registration Periods

Your registration start date is calculated based on two factors:

  1. Class standing: Your class standing is determined by credits earned and in progress as of the Thursday before the first day of Period I registration begins.
  2. Priority status: Some students have a priority status for registration, which qualifies them for early priority registration due to Graduating Senior Priority (GSP), DRS accommodations, veteran status, ROTC, or NCAA athlete status.

Registration Period I – Continuing Students

Opens: November 5, 2026 at 6 a.m. PST of your designated registration start date.

Registration Period II – New and Returning Students

Opens: November 23, 2026, at midnight PST. New students register at 8:30 a.m. Review the UW Academic Calendar for current quarter Registration Period II dates.

Registration Period III – All Enrolled Students

Opens: January 4, 2027, at midnight PST. Registration Period III runs from the first (1st) through the seventh (7th) day of the quarter and is open to all students for adds and changes.

Registration Tampering Abuse Policy

Trading, selling, or buying open spots violates the Registration Tampering Abuse Policy. Violators may face referral to the Student Conduct process, a Registrar’s Hold, and potential diploma withholding until the case is resolved.

Critical: Required Husky Prevention & Response (Title IX) Student Course

Husky Prevention & Response is a course about preventing and responding to sex- and gender-based violence and harassment. All first-year, transfer, graduate, and professional students-whether new or returning after an absence of one quarter or more- must complete the 60–90 minute online course.

Take the Title IX Course Now.

Students Expecting to Graduate Next Quarter

Contact your adviser to submit your graduation application by the application deadline-the third Friday of your desired graduation quarter.

Your diploma name does not have to match your UW record; you can specify a different name and address using the Diploma Name and Address form. Students can submit this form more than once.

Students who do not provide their diploma name or mailing address through the designated form prior to their graduation date and/or diploma order will have their diplomas issued using their Student Record Name and sent to their current mailing address.

Sincerely,
