Spring 2026 ends Friday, June 12, 2026. Please note these important deadlines.
Current Quarter Drop
- Drop one class via the Current Quarter Drop form by the last day of instruction.
- For multiple drops or withdrawals, use the Adviser-Assisted Drop Request.
- Late Drops require use of Current Quarter Drop form plus a $20 Change of Registration fee.
- Deadline: Friday, June 5, 2026.
S/NS Grading Option Change
- Change to or from S/NS grading on eligible courses by the last day of the quarter.
- This grading change requires a $20 Change of Registration fee.
- Important: S/NS grades cannot satisfy prerequisites or degree requirements and should be used sparingly. Petitions to revert to numeric grading are limited.
- Deadline: Friday, June 12, 2026.
Incomplete Grade Policy
- Beginning three (3) weeks before the quarter ends, submit the Incomplete Grade Request form to your instructor.
- Review the Incomplete Grade Policy and Incomplete Grade Request form.
- Open dates for Spring 2026: Friday, May 15 – Friday, June 12
Spring 2026 Graduates
- Grades are due at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, and posted the next day.
- After grades are due, if you do not have a grade or the grade listed is incorrect, please contact your instructor so they can submit a late grade. Late grades have a processing time of three (3) weeks.
- Degree processing may take several weeks; you’ll receive an email confirmation (“University of Washington Notification of Degree Posting: Next Steps”) from registra@uw.edu.
- Set up email forwarding, as UW emails will be inaccessible after graduation.
- Update your external email with the UW Alumni Association.
- After receiving the email, verify your transcripts on MyUW for accuracy. Report errors within 45 days.
- If you do not receive the email or do not see your degree posted within a month, contact your adviser to confirm your graduation status.
